Panopticon VII
(English version)
Preface
The Panopticon VII is a dynamic collection of thoughts that I develop in the course of my magical-shamanic work. "Dynamic" means that the collection has no beginning and no end. It's never finished, never completed, but successively developed further, supplemented, reformulated (where necessary), rearranged, etc. For a long time, I asked myself whether I wanted to publish the Panopticon VII on the internet at all. Now I've decided to do so - with the limitation that I've cut out some sequences that I don't think are suitable for online publication.
The literary style of the Panopticon VII is inspired by a few paragons, such as:
-
the Manual Oracle by Baltasar Gracián
-
Zen Buddhist and Taoist texts
-
texts of hermetic philosophy (in terms of semantic coding)
The original German version is available here.
Panopticon VII
You're the text of the world. The world is the text of yourself. If you read yourself, you read the world. If you read the world, you read yourself.
The defense against this fact follows from stubbornness. Stubbornness is the norm of those who profit from the established to such an extent that they don't want any change: neither of themselves nor of the world, which is the same. Vanity – whether moral, physical or otherwise - is a form of stubbornness. Perhaps it's the most subtle form.

Everything is connected to everything. Everything is in exchange with everything. Health is: balance in connectedness, balance in exchange.
Important is: the knowledge of avoidance and its necessity. Acting in accordance with it is also a form of connectedness, also a form of exchange. Avoidance out of desiring advantage, fear which takes a life on its own and other distracting reasons leads to imbalance.
The extreme can be beneficial: but only temporarily, never as a standard. The extreme, temporary, opens up unknown horizons. Required are insight into its character and clever handling. Alternatively, luck is required; therefore: don't put luck to the test. The extreme, as a standard, leads into the hands of Ker: abruptly or successively.

Everything shows. To heal, you have to see. Everything speaks. To heal, you have to hear.
Healing needs strength. Healing needs patience. Procrastination is a misunderstanding.
~
The forces of the universe are present always and everywhere. They are both gentle and powerful at the same time: orchids and landmines. You can explore them, surrender to them or ask them for help. You can't force them in the direction of your own wishes and advantages. Those who challenge them and overreach themselves will lose out: Goethe's Sorcerer's Apprentice. Ignorance can succeed or fail; in the happy case, one reaps neutrality.
~
Your body is a temple.
Old sentence – quickly said, quickly heard, but not yet understood.
~
Of certain things you aren’t allowed to speak, or only at a favorable moment and above all: in suitable company.
If you speak of certain good things at an unfavorable moment and in unsuitable company, they retreat to where they can't be touched. Some such things always retreat when you speak of them. People who want to touch them only touch air. People who don't want to touch them walk through their garden and are stroked by the birds.
If you speak of certain bad things at an unfavorable moment and in unsuitable company, they are attracted and gain strength. Some such things are always attracted and strengthened when they are spoken of. People who don't understand this bring war into the world: in their own body and mind; against other people, in and between them; against animals, plants and more.
You have to learn to distinguish between what you can and can't talk about and when – and what needs to be kept in silence.

Analysis, consequently conducted, is a method of killing. Its instrument is logical thinking. Analytical killing is good if it's conducted with love for life, bad if it's conducted without it.
Analysis creates knowledge. Knowledge creates technology. Every technique that is applied without love of life endangers the peace and health of the entire planet. The triple leap is: From knowledge grows ability. From ability grows power. From power grows responsibility.
~
Some knowledge pushes you directly into responsibility; some pretends to relieve you of it. The former is hierarchically unbound, the latter is not. While the former demands that you're visible and self-acting, you can easily hide behind the latter.
~
It's better to be underestimated than overestimated. A person who doesn't perceive leaves you all air. A person who imputes it to you pollutes it.
~
The power of the hands. These are 4 words. You read them in a second, you hardly develop them in several years.
Don't pride yourself on anything. What you can do, you can because you don't want to.
The principles of manual suggestion are: repair, removal, filling, shielding.
~
Nomen atque omen: understand the suggestive power of words.
Words are energetically filled and can be compared to magnets. They have attractive and repulsive traits.
~
Talk to people who don't share your views.
Be careful when talking to people whose cheek muscles are hardened.
~
Make friends with the trees. Listen to their language. Respect them at quiet times, then they'll help you through turbulent ones. They've been there reliably for centuries. They remain unimpressed where we begin to falter.
~
Tree below, bird above.
A whole person.

Imagining something unrealizable ususally isn’t the reason why the realization of something new fails; the realization fails because of the inertia of matter. New thoughts – whether emerging as words, images, sounds or otherwise – are always light and dynamic. Their nature is play. When matter is in favorable conditions – which usually means that it's receptive – it can be set in motion and reshaped by new thoughts. Then there is no limit to new thoughts. Their potential can unfold freely. On the other hand: if matter is in unfavorable conditions – which usually means that it's complacent, sluggish – new thoughts can't easily have an effect on it. The thought vibration bounces off the matter or is paralyzed in it. It doesn't generate sufficient resonance. Anyway: the favourability or unfavourability of matter depends on already materialized thoughts. Persistent thoughts are never innovative; and 'rationalizing' is a form of persistence.
~
Rationalists and cynics see clearly with two eyes. They are blind in the third.
~
People who squander the decisive moments squander the offers of Kairos.
Beware: you never know when his generosity is exhausted.
~
One of the most common mistakes: continuing to bind after bundling instead of releasing. The step of release needs circumspection, keeping track, in- and foresight. These 4 aspects are part of the application knowledge. They say: "It's time." Their format is contextual, their voice spotty. They appear in reference and speak as intuition.
~
In release, the jaguar must remain silent. It's only silent when it forgets. It only forgets when the hummingbird trusts.

Common Sense: experience generates the human image.
It's just the opposite: the human image generates experience.
